If you need oxygen therapy, do not miss the Botanical Garden. Founded by Professor Wagner in 1857, it became the heart of the Academy's campus. Although the town is surrounded by greenery, the Botanical Garden—with its exotic plants—has an atmosphere that captivates locals and visitors alike.
The garden's forged entry gates come from the workshop of the local master Karol Fizély. There is an abundance of interesting trees in the garden, including giant sequoias, sycamores, cedars, and ginkgo biloba. And, for students and young adults, this is often the site for a first romance.
