Bike riding

While in North Sealand, why not try the Danish way and jump on a bike and pedal away?

Biking is freedom - the freedom to explore and to feel the speed and wind in your hair. It is what makes Danes happy and, coincidentally, is a healthy and an efficient way to transport yourself. It is absolutely ingrained in the Danish culture.

North Sealand is ideal for cycling. The short distances between attractions, hotels and old fishing villages make exploring the region very easy. You will also be able to experience the landscape first hand and at a much calmer pace.

There’s no need to worry about mixing with cars because there are a lot of paths dedicated to bikes. You can buy a bicycle guidebook at your local tourist office or get a free biking map to help you find your way.

There are two routes made for experiencing the UNESCO par force hunting landscape, both of which start where the old par force hunts began at Frederiksborg castle. The par force bicycle route 105 goes through Gribskov Forest and the par force bicycle route 110 takes you into the Greater Deer Park.
