Bruges was also the setting for the first ever Bollywood movie partially filmed in Belgium -the romantic lovestory 'Peekay' (2014).
The most popular filming locations in this World Heritage city are the courtyard of the Belfry, the Market Square with its Provincial Court, the Wijngaardplein, the Jerusalem Chapel and the Gothic Chamber of the Town Hall. In addition to the ‘classics’ (Rozenhoedkaai, Beguinage, Burg, Market Square, Minnewater and the canals), visitors also like to photograph the lace-makers and chocolatiers of Bruges, as well as the windmills, the Church of Our Lady and the Holy Blood Basilica. Panoramic shots are taken from the roof of the Concert Hall or the Halve Maan Brewery.
