Chimgan Nature Reserve

The Western Tien-Shan Chimgan Nature Reserve protects the gateway to Ugam-Chatkal National Park.

Outdoor adventurers can enjoy this park in any season, especially if they stay at the famous Amirsay Mountain Resort. Snowsports, ice-climbing, mountaineering, and heliskiing are calling to all adrenaline seekers. Avid birders can flock to hear spring songs along the flowing rivers and see the wild flowering of apples, apricots, and plums.

Summer is the best chance to do it all on two legs or four. The purity of horseback trekking in these ancient mountains can not be understated. Water activities are some of the most popular, with rivers and lakes full of canoeing, rafting, or swimming activities. You can also just work on your tan at Charvak Lake.

Fall colors are a spectacle to behold. Autumn is your last chance before the annual freeze, and many crops here are considered delicacies. In this expansive Uzbek paradise it is your opportunity to explore, enjoy, and experience the world within the Ugam-Chatkal Nature Park.
