If you're interested in learning more about the history of Trier, you might like to try one of the guided walking tours. If you're particularly interested in the Ancient period, you will enjoy the tour called '200 Steps—2000 Years'.

Your journey through time will begin at the Porta Nigra and will take you to the medieval Main Market. After passing the Trier Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady, you will reach the Imperial Throne Room. Go inside and check out the interiors of the Imperial Baths.

The walking tour takes about two hours and meets at the Trier Tourist Information Office.
