Family activities

There is plenty for children to do in Tarragona, a city full of fun and discovery. While exploring the historic buildings can be enjoyable for the whole family, there are some specific activities here that are aimed at families.
At the Port Museum, where you can learn about the fishing arts and the port's heritage, there are interesting discovery activities for the children if you book ahead. On many Sundays, the National Archaeological Museum organises discovery activities for families like Roman fashion, culture or mythology.
Children will love Casa de la Festa (The Festival House), an area where the city exhibits the traditional elements like beasts, giants from the festive Retinue. And the Devil's Bridge Ecohistoric Park has a family event on the first Saturday of every month.
If you prefer a beach activity, you may be interested in the Tarragona Family Kayak, a water activity especially created for family groups. Or for a different kind of adventure, you could try the Jungle Trek, with zip-lines, rope swings, and courses through the woods.
And a nice option for a Saturday morning is a visit to l’Hort de la Sínia where families can participate in a discovery visit of the farm, including feeding and collecting the eggs of hens, roosters, geese and ducks, all of which are local breeds.
