Guided city stroll

Learn more about the historic city that is adjacent to the landscape of the parks and palaces.

This sightseeing tour will guide you to the highlights in the city centre of Potsdam, yet you will feel like you are being taken back to former times. Historic places, green oases and extraordinary facades all invite you to pause for a moment and take in the sights.

Potsdam's historic centre has been reconstructed into a real gem with the Museum Barberini, the Brandenburg Parliament, and St Nicholas' Church. The walking tour will take you to all of these highlights—plus the special New Market. It is one of Europe's best maintained baroque squares and, unlike the architecture of the Old Market, the buildings here are representative of the citizens.

Past the New Market, the walking tour continues to the Dutch Quarter, initiated by the passion for Dutch culture of King Frederick William I. This quarter is believed to be the largest ensemble of Dutch cultural buildings in Europe outside of The Netherlands.

Finally, at Brandenburger Street, which is also known as Potsdam's 'Broadway', you will find many cosy cafés, restaurants, and authentic little shops.
