Habits de Lumière

This annual arts and food festival is a wonderful way to discover the best that the Champagne region has to offer.

Every year, at the beginning of December, the community of Epernay puts on its ‘Habits de Lumière’ (which translates as Clothes of Light).

Two festive evenings are scheduled on Friday and Saturday on the Avenue de Champagne. You can enjoy an original video mapping projected onto the facade of the City Hall, an artistic parade led by internationally renowned street theatre companies, and an exclusive firework display.

The prestigious champagne houses and winemakers of the Avenue also participate in the event, creating cultural activities for the occasion. Come and taste a glass of the world’s most famous of sparkling wines!

On the Saturday of the Habits de Lumière festivities, the focus is on gastronomy. In the morning, the Habits de Saveurs is a meeting of Michelin-starred chefs from Champagne with the champagne houses and winemakers of the Avenue de Champagne. In the afternoon, continue to delight your taste buds at the workshops held around food and wine pairings. Children are not left out, with gourmet tastings suitable for all ages.

Finally, Sunday is animated by an automobile parade. This event is one of the largest gatherings of vintage cars in Northeast France.
