Innovate Art Fair C.A.R.

Twice a year, Zollverein becomes a focal point for art lovers, artists, collectors, and exhibitors, as the contemporary art ruhr (C.A.R.) event takes over.

C.A.R. regards itself as a trade fair for explorers and presents a pulsating art market from newcomers to established artists. It addresses a young, art-interested audience as well as prospective or already experienced collectors. Art from a wide range of fields is on display, which is unexpected, unmistakable and affordable.

In summer, the event hosts an experimental media art fair combined with a photo special. It presents current positions beyond the classical art disciplines from the fields of photography, video, installation, performance, and sound art.

In autumn, C.A.R. is an innovative contemporary art fair. With its open exhibition concept, the art show and sales fair promotes communication between visitors, artists and exhibitors. There are no classical trade fair booths that could possibly be a barrier to communication.
