Louisiana

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art strikes a rare balance between landscape, architecture, and art in a unique interaction that makes a visit to the museum something special throughout the year.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is a leading international site for cutting-edge art and a place to expand minds while indulging in absolutely gorgeous scenery.

Located along the coast, 25 miles north of Copenhagen, with a beautiful panoramic view of Sweden across the Sound, the museum presents eight to ten special exhibitions annually, along with varying presentations of selected works from a distinguished collection of more than 3,500 works.

Explore and get lost in the landscape

When you visit the museum a walk in the Sculpture Park is an essential part of the Louisiana experience. This is where you meet the panoramic views of the Sound and experience how the buildings blend into the landscape. During your walk you can explore, get lost and find a peaceful moment amongst the sculptures.

Astonishing art and architecture

The comfortable, welcoming exhibition rooms, the spacious Sculpture Park, the opportunity for a bit of pampering in the Museum Cafe and the Shop, as well as the many concerts, lectures and debates that take place in the Concert Hall in the evening – all contribute to making Louisiana a vibrant cultural centre.
