Museum of viniculture, horticulture and landscape – Valtice

When visiting the Valtice castle, you can visit a local branch of the National Agricultural Museum, which focuses mainly on the landscape architecture and viticulture of the Lednice–Valtice region.

The museum building is on Valtické náměstí (Valtice Square). It housed the castle's administration for Liechtenstein estates from the second half of the 17th century. It was reconstructed and got its current appearance at the end of the 19th century. – © Dominika Švédová

Historic wine-making presses and tools
A permanent exhibition of the wine-making presses and tools exhibits the historical development of grape processing technologies.

The museum houses a unique collection of wine presses, the oldest of which is a monumental spindle press from 1719, which stands 280 cm (9 feet) tall. – © Dominika Švédová
