The Grande Perspective bisects the Gardens like an axis of symmetry, passing Latona’s Fountain and following the Royal Way as far as Apollo on his Chariot and the Grand Canal.

Participate in the Explore European World Heritage Campaign

Partner with UNESCO and National Geographic to promote responsible travel to Europe’s World Heritage sites.

Implemented with the support of the EU, the Explore European History and Culture campaign encourages visitors to travel differently—to travel slower, to visit lesser known destinations, and to experience Europe in new, surprising, and deeper ways. They will be inspired to go on adventures along their preferred Journey; Ancient, Romantic, Royal or Underground Europe.

Travellers who visit the World Heritage Journeys website can enter to win a prize from National Geographic and participating World Heritage sites. UNESCO will give away free copies of the limited edition World Heritage Journeys Europe special publication bookazine.

Travellers planning a trip to Europe can enter to win the publication by completing the form at visitworldheritage.com/giveaway. Winners will be randomly selected at the end of each week in February.

World Heritage sites and their marketing partners in the European Union are invited to participate in the campaign by contributing a prize that can be given away to a randomly selected winner and helping us get the word out about the giveaway, inspiring people across the world to visit European World Heritage sites.

There are four ways that you can participate in the social media campaign:

1. Like and follow World Heritage Journeys of Europe on social media and share our daily posts with your followers. Use the hashtag #visiteuworldheritage on your social media content to reach a wide audience of cultural travellers.

2. Direct your followers to visitworldheritage.com/giveaway for a chance to win a limited edition World Heritage Journeys of Europe publication from National Geographic.
