Pont del Diable Eco-historical Park

This park, full of history and nature, has been developed around one of Tarragona's most important archaeological sites.

The les Ferreres aqueduct, also known as Pont del Diable, is one of the most impressive and well-preserved monuments of the Roman Tarraco. The Eco-historical Park that has been created around it offers you the chance to learn more about its history, while combining heritage, culture, nature and gastronomy.

The guided tour inside the aqueduct premises will take you back to the Roman period and tell you more about the monument’s construction, where builders obtained their stones from and what it was meant for.

On the other hand, the tour round the Eco-historical Park will also provide you with a clear representation of what Mediterranean natural systems look like, with pine woods and an immense variety of fauna and vegetation adapted to the warm climate found in the south of Catalonia.

If you keep exploring, after you’ve come across a number of historical country houses you’ll find the Romantic gardens built by the Puig i Valls brothers. There are twisted paths, animal-shaped cypress plantations and secret spots full of history.
