Rudolph Tegner’s Museum & Statue Park

Within the wild lands known as Rusland, on the small heather-covered hills overlooking the ocean and the forests and farmland of North Sealand, you'll find Rudolph Tegner’s fantastic sculptures and his treasure chest: a museum dedicated to his many works.

When you visit Rudolph Tegner’s Museum & Statue Park, you will immediately see the area's full-time residents, the many sheep, which graze on the hills and help maintain the landscape. They stroll along the 14 statues that also reside in the park. Follow the trail and discover Tegner’s works. As you enjoy their scale and beauty, feel how the environment and art live in harmony.

The museum, a concrete and steel reinforced bunker, sits in a landscape of windswept pine, heather, and juniper scrub like a modern-day castle daring invaders to attack. Once you enter the small, ancient Greek-inspired doorway, you'll discover an interior that opens to beautiful rooms. You'll also notice there are no windows and no views of the outside. This treasure chest was designed to focuse on Tegner’s great works without succumbing to distractions.
