Séjour des Réconciliations

Embrace the values of humanity at this series of events to promote reconciliation and peace.

The local residents of the Champagne region are very proud of its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Every year, on the anniversary of Champagne’s inscription, the region organises festivities to mark the occasion. The events also celebrate UNESCO’s values of peace and heritage, which are significant for an area shattered many times by invasions and wars - but also the place of Franco-German reconciliation in 1962.

This festival, symbolically named “Séjour des Réconciliations” is open to the whole world. You can come and take part in the gala charity dinner, attend conferences on matters of reconciliation and participate, throughout the Champagne region, in the night release of lanterns carrying messages of humanity and peace.

You can also take part in the great gathering that takes place at a different emblematic site in the Champagne region each year. This provides the opportunity to participate in a walk along one of the pedestrian routes through the vineyards and villages, to meet other walkers, both local and visitors, to discover the cultural landscape and the vineyard heritage, and to taste champagne, the wine of fraternity par excellence.
