The Kew Explorer

What better way to see as much of the site than on the garden's very own land train!

The Kew Explorer offers a regular, scheduled train service every day throughout the year, with more frequent departures in the summer months to accommodate heavier demand.

The 72-seater land trains provide a hop-on, hop-off service with seven stops around the gardens. The driver offers commentary throughout the journey, ranging from the history of Kew to which areas are looking their best at the time. It's an excellent way to learn more about this fascinating attraction and is popular with visitors of all ages, offering the chance to visit parts of the Gardens that you might not ordinarily be able to see.

It's perfect if your time is limited or you simply want to take the weight off your feet. It's also an ideal service for visitors with mobility issues. The Kew Explorer has capacity for a number of collapsible wheelchairs and one non-collapsible chair.

The first departure of the day is usually 11am but the schedule may be affected by operational activity on site. Full details about each day's departures are posted at the gates and at the stops.
