Verzenay Lighthouse

You may be surprised to find a real lighthouse at the top of the village of Verzenay on Mount Rizan. This curiosity was built in 1909 by Joseph Goulet to promote his champagne. In the past 20 years, the building has been converted into a vine growing and wine making eco-museum.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of vineyards thanks to a fun and educational audio-guided tour. Interactive animations will take you back through the history of Champagne wines, the different terroirs that make up the appellation area, the work carried out in the vineyards, the festivals and traditions, tales and legends of Champagne. A tasting and sales area presents more than 40 vintages of wine makers.
In addition to the visit, you can climb at the top of the 25 metre-high lighthouse for an exceptional view of the hillside vineyards and valley. At the foot of the lighthouse, the new panoramic garden offers you a haven to relax over a glass of champagne and enjoy the remarkable landscape and holiday atmosphere.
