Wine tastings across Champagne

Go straight to the source of this world-famous wine, with hundreds of producers welcoming visitors.

Take advantage of your visit to France to taste the Champagne wines, produced only in this particular region. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are the three main grape varieties grown.

Champagne wines are created by blending different grape varieties, terroirs and years. They are matured for a minimum of 15 months in the cellars. Three years are necessary for the vintage wines and much more for special vintages. Time enables the enhancement and enrichment of the Champagne wines’ flavours.

Spread over 33,000 hectares, the Champagne appellation has more than 15,000 wine growers, 300 champagne houses and 140 cooperatives. Nearly 450 of them open their doors to visitors.

Through these tours, you can discover the different stages of cultivation of the vine and the production of Champagne wine, and visit the underground cellars and tunnels carved into the chalk bedrock where millions of bottles lie. You can also be introduced to the art of champagne tasting!
