Zhabagly-Tonkeris-Kaskasu International Hiking Route

This guided hiking experience follows the Aksu River on tours that last 3 to 6 days. Starting in Zhabagly, travelers will experience the international wonders of the UNESCO recognized Western Tien-Shan mountains. Guided tours include camping or guest stays with local people.

The tour includes visiting the Karama bridge in the Aksu-Zhabagly Nature Reserve. Then travelers will arrive at Tonkeris village and experience a cultural show and dine on local cuisine. The next morning the groups follow the Sairamsu River and it concludes in the Kaskasu Village.

The tour highlights the culture and spectacular nature within the park. Homestays in Ugam are recommended and the return journey back to see as much of the world heritage site as possible. The endemic flora and fauna coupled with unforgettable views make this hike one of the best in the Western Tien-Shen mountains.
